Raising Capital

Hanbury is licensed as an Exempt Market Dealer in Ontario, and raises debt, mezzanine and equity capital for private and small public companies. Clients benefit from Hanbury's extensive and established network in the financial services industry by receiving the optimal financing structures for their companies.



Acting on Boards of Directors

Hanbury's principal has served on over fifteen private and public Boards of companies of varied maturity, from pre-revenue to multi-millions in sales. His roles have included chairing or participating in committees concerned with human resources and compensation, audit, governance, strategic and financial affairs. Hanbury has participated in going public events, major financings, large capital expansion projects, sale and mergers, management changes, litigations, restructurings and insolvencies. As an active Board member, Hanbury's principal provides insightful guidance to support a business' aims and objectives.

Managing Companies

Hanbury can provide senior management services to companies (typically CEO or CFO), in preparation for a transaction (raising capital, or a purchase or sale transaction).

Acquisition of a Business

As part of a firm's expansion, Hanbury facilitates the purchase of other businesses, and can carry out all aspects of the transaction, including sourcing targets, structuring and negotiating deals, managing due diligence processes and legal agreements, and closing the deal. Hanbury pursues opportunities that provide maximum value, and negotiates the optimum transaction terms for clients.



Sale of a Business

Similar to business purchases, Hanbury guides all aspects of a transaction in the sale of a company. As described above under Acquisition of a Business, Hanbury seeks out the ideal partner, optimizes the transaction terms for the seller and can manage all aspects of the project.
